Deepworld Launches Kickstarter Project To Finance Mac Beta

When I first met the team making Deepworld, an 2D Sandbox-style building game that is similar to Minecraft, at GDC in March, I informed them that the project would be bigger than they thought. They've had a lot of experience in the development of servers and software, however, running a game this big requires an investment of a significant amount. It appears they are now agree. Kickstarter was designed to raise funds in the early stages of development and servers.

The group is offering a variety of prizes to those who support it which include your own personal servers and worlds, art books, and other swag, as well as the possibility of receiving your own items, name or even images included in the game itself. The goal is to raise US$20,000 and the guys have raised around $4,000. They are planning to make the project a full-time endeavor, and this money will allow them to do so.

I wish them all the best. Deepworld is stunning and I was with you when I first saw it.  Arkadne igre  think the Mac (and iOS) would be greatly benefited by a game like that.
